Thread commits to Baltimore City’s highest need students beginning in 9th grade and for ten years thereafter, pairing each young person with an extended “Thread Family” of volunteers who build relationships that cross lines of race, class, and zip code.
Its mission is to harness the power of authentic connections to end social isolation and cultivate a more equitable culture in which all thrive. Thread students complete high school at ten times the rate of their peers.
